.406 with 27 RBI and two home runs … also collected 10 doubles, four triples and four stolen bases … went 6-0 on the mound with a 2.34 ERA and two shutouts … earned all-state and all-conference garnered MVP honors at the Arkansas High School All-Star game … named the Pine Bluff Commercial Southeast Arkansas Co-Player of the Year … led team to conference championship. Junior (2004): He batted .354 with 17 RBI and four home runs … went 3-1 with a 3.06 ERA and four saves … hit 10 doubles and five triples … earned all-conference and all-state accolades. Sophomore (2003): Makris hit .325 with two home runs, five stolen bases and 21 RBI. Freshman (2001): He garnered his first all-conference honor at shortstop.
