Travis Hill is a right-handed pitcher out of Seminole [Okla.] Junior College who will compete for the closer's role for the Razorbacks in 2007 … a 42nd round draft pick of the Texas Rangers in 2005 … has a fastball in the low 90s with good movement and mixes it with a quality breaking pitch … has good command of the strike zone … played for the Anchorage Glacier Pilots this summer and posted a 2-2 record with four saves
and a 1.03 ERA.

Seminole [Okla.] State College
 
Hill played for head coach Eric Myers at Seminole State College in 2005 and 2006 … was drafted by the Texas Rangers after his freshman year at Seminole … recorded
18 saves in his two seasons at Seminole State. Sophomore (2006): Hill posted a 2.70 ERA and 11 saves at Seminole State … his 11 saves were tied for sixth nationally in the NJCAA … fanned 43 batters in 30 innings to rank seventh in the NJCAA with 1.43 strikeouts per inning … allowed just 16 hits and nine earned runs in 30 innings of
work. Freshman (2005): He went 3-3 with a 3.20 ERA and 40 strikeouts … led the team
with seven saves.

University High School
 
Hill played for head coach Don Ressa at University High School where he starred as a right-handed pitcher and third baseman. Senior (2004): He earned all-conference accolades, and was named his team's pitcher of the year … posted a 6-2 record with a 2.80 ERA.

Personal
 
Travis is the son of Tim and Marquita Hill … he has on sister, Tiffany … is majoring in sociology … enjoys hunting, fishing and snowboarding … chose Arkansas over Oklahoma State and Oklahoma.
