| Wayne Hrozek returns for his sophomore season in the best shape of
his baseball career and ready to become a regular for the Razorbacks
… has shown tremendous improvement in the outfield and has an
above-average throwing arm … very athletic with a flat swing at the
plate … will compete for a corner spot in the outfield and DH against
left-handed pitching. |

| Hrozek shared time with fellow freshman David Hum as the
Razorbacks' designated hitter in 2006 … started 24 games against
left-handed pitching with 21 coming at designated hitter and three
in right field while seeing action in 31 contests … batted .277 with
four doubles and 18 RBI … hit an impressive .346 with runners on base
and .371 with runners in scoring position … also posted a .371 average
with two outs … is very good at using the entire field and going
up the middle … swiped 5-of-6 bases in his freshman campaign … collected
a hit in his first game as a Hog at South Alabama on Feb. 12 …
went 3 for 6 against Stephen F. Austin on Feb. 18 at the Al Ogletree
Classic with a RBI and a run scored … scored a run and drove in a run
against Louisiana Tech on Feb. 24 … was 2 for 4 with a RBI single up
the middle and a double in his only start in Hawai'i on March 3 against
Texas-Arlington … went 4 for 7 in two games against Centenary with
three RBI … was 1 for 3 with a RBI on March 25 vs. Georgia … was 2
for 5 on Sunday against the Bulldogs with two RBI … collected a hit,
an RBI and his third double of the season against Tennessee on March
31 … went 3 for 5 with and RBI against Kentucky on April 15, tying his
season high of three hits in a game … went 3 for 4 during the
Mississippi State series, which included his fourth double of the season
… singled home a run at Ole Miss on May 12 … was 2 for 5 as the
designated hitter on May 19 against Auburn. SEC Tournament: He did

Hrozek played outfield and pitched for head coach Ron Eastman at
The Woodlands High School. Senior (2005): He batted .375 with 32
RBI and two home runs hit six doubles and stole six bases earned
all-state and all-district honors lead team to the state finals
posted a 1-0 record on the mound with 15 strikeouts and three saves.
Junior (2004): Hrozek hit .435 with 32 RBI and four home runs had
11 doubles and six stolen bases helped team to district championship. |
